Thursday Men's League - DIVISION 1 - The Bettws RFC A V Dodger A game on 5th December was postponed. Game to be played 13th February.

Thursday Men's League - DIVISION 2 - The Ringland Labour V Bettws RFC B game on 17th October was postponed. Game to be played 26th December.

NCDL Constitution

1 - The name of the league shall be ‘The Newport Central Darts League”.

2 - The object of the league is to promote and support the game of darts in the area of Newport, South Wales. The league shall establish itself as a creditable governing body, responsible for the co-ordination of the game within its area.

3 - The control of the league shall be by an elected committee, as in item 4 hereunder.

4 - Hon. chairperson, secretary, treasurer, as well as eight committee members. All elections are to take place at the A.G.M, whereby all nominations are to be proposed and seconded. The officers will hold office for a period of one year with the chairperson holding office for two years.

5 - Four of the said committee shall constitute a quorum, so long as at least one officer is present.

6 - Any member of the committee failing to attend three consecutive meetings, without good reason for absence, will automatically cease to hold office.

7 - Casual vacancies on the committee may be filled by co-option. Any person co-opted would serve until the next A.G.M.

8 - The committee shall have the power to co-opt up to four members and to appoint a sub-committee and shall prescribe the functions of any sub-committee.

9 - Four weeks notice will be given as to the date of the A.G.M of the above league. The business transacted in the A.G.M shall include; a) The consideration of the balance sheet and the statement of the accounts for the 12 months. b) The election of officers, when applicable. c) The considerations of any additions, alterations or amendments of this constitution. d) The consideration of any other business concerning the affairs of the league, provided that, in the opinion of the committee, the business is of sufficient importance to warrant discussion at the A.G.M.

10 - Proposals for changes to the constitution, or rules of the league are to be put in writing to the league committee four weeks prior to the A.G.M.

11 - The treasurer shall keep an account of all income and expenditure and submit such accounts at the A.G.M. The bank account shall be in the name of the above league. Monies can only be withdrawn on the signatures of both the chairman and the treasurer. Newport Central Darts League.

12 - The annual league fees and competition fees shall be decided at the A.G.M. All monies for the league must be paid before the season starts.

13 - Format of play shall be discussed at the A.G.M. (If in writing as in rule 10).

14 - Any other business will be discussed at the end of the A.G.M.

15 - All matters arising from the running of the league will be dealt with at the A.G.M.

16 - The income of the league shall be obtained by means of subscriptions from teams, competition fees and ticket receipts.

17 - In the event of the league disbanding, all available assets shall, after the discharge of all liabilities, be equally distributed amongst the league members.

18 - All result cards must be posted on the associated message groups on Facebook no later than the Sunday following the match. Any team failing to send a result card in at this time will automatically lose their bonus points. All teams must ensure they fully complete the result card correctly, with the captain’s signature.

19 - The first names must be written on the match result card by each league’s agreed start time.

20 - First and second teams at the end of each season in a division will be promoted up a division and the bottom two at the end of a season in a division will drop a division.

21 - A player who is drawn, in the league or competitions, to play at a venue from which they are banned, will not be able to take part on the night.

22 - Any teams wishing to make a complaint must do so in writing, within 48 hrs, accompanied by £5. If the team should win the complaint, the £5 shall be returned.

23 - Any team found to be giving other teams points unfairly may be taken out of the league and brought in front of the committee.

24 - The secretary must receive all registration forms before the date on the bottom of the registration form. One match point will be deducted for every week that the form is late.

25 - Full names of players must be on the registration form, if not the player will be classed as un-registered and any game points earned by that player will be deducted.

26 - Names on the competition sheets can only be changed at the first-round stage and the league must be notified if any changes are made.

27 - All competition results must be advised to the league before 2200 hrs on the Sunday after the event. Players / teams will not go through to next round if the result is late.

28 - A maximum of twelve trophies per mixed team and eight trophies for men’s and ladies’ teams will be allocated. Any team that requires extra trophies will have to pay for them. Payment must be made before they can be ordered.

29 - Cancellations of any match will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances and must be agreed by the League prior to the due date of the match. Teams failing to turn up for a match, may be considered to have removed themselves from the league. Only three players are required to constitute a match.

30 - Any teams withdrawing from the league for any reason, will result in all players from those teams being withdrawn from any current competitions.

31 - Any team found guilty of falsifying result cards will be expelled from the league, and will serve a ban set by the present serving committee of the league.

32 - Any person or persons, who are found guilty by the league committee to have committed an act of violence to any member or members of the league on a darts night, or (league, competition or presentation nights etc), will be automatically banned from the league for a minimum period of one year. This will apply whether the violence occurs before, during or after a game and whether inside or outside the premises. The committee shall also have the authority to set a life ban for violence to any team or members of this league if it is deemed necessary.

33 - Members bringing the name of Newport Central Darts League into disrepute or contravene any of the rules herein, will be dealt with by the committee.

34 - The committee, whose decision shall be final, shall deal with any matter not provided for within this constitution. It is the responsibility of all team captains to ensure that this constitution and the league rules are made available to all of their players. It is the players responsibility to ensure that they know and understand this constitution and the league rules. This constitution and the league rules will be followed at all times.
